The ultra-fun home invasion flick from Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett is finally on its way.
Having proven a crowd-pleaser at the 2011 iterations of both TIFF and Fantastic Fest, YOU'RE NEXT was acquired by Lionsgate with much fanfare. Soon after, though, Lionsgate and Summit merged and it seemed the clever bit of horror had disappeared. Today, Collider confirmed that Lionsgate is giving audiences YOU'RE NEXT on August 23, 2013, a similar spot to the studio's THE POSSESSION, which just claimed top of the box office two weeks in a row.
In YOU'RE NEXT, a wealthy family (including A.J. Bowen, Barbara Crampton, Joe Swanberg and filmmaker Ti West) gathers in their country estate for a reunion. Before they know it, they're under attack, but Crispian's (Bowen) new girlfriend (a fantastic Sharni Vinson) has something up her sleeve.
