Thomas Jane. Werewolves. Get stoked.

Over at Collider, Tom Jane spoke briefly about this upcoming werewolf film, THE LYCAN, which is seemingly an adaptation of the comic of the same name, conceived by him and written by Mike Carey. He explains, "I’m doing a werewolf movie called, THE LYCAN, which is a gothic werewolf romance set in the late 1700s. it’s fuckin’ cool. It’s basically Alien, set in a castle, with werewolves."

Raw Studios (the company founded by Jane and artist Tim Broadstreet) offers up a bit more on THE LYCAN, giving this synopsis: "On a remote Scottish island, early in the nineteenth century, an embattled British regiment fights against a legion of werewolves - and the monsters are winning. The soldiers fall back on a cliff-top castle which has become a convent, the only place on the island that can be fortified and defended. But the arrival of a merchant captain, Absalom Coffin, and his crew of freebooters, changes the balance of power. Coffin determines to find the werewolves' lair - and triggers a chain of events which will spell doom and tragedy for some, redemption for others."

Of course, the best quote from the aforementioned interview is where Jane admits, "I’ve done my share of bad movies, but I’m done with that." It's cool, Tom, we'll love you either way. Although we should probably all support things like HUNG and his personal creative endeavors, which show off that he's actually a talented guy, aside from a badass and member of the Vegan police.
